No, Vinted says that you can’t change the country setting on an account that already exists.
Vinted does this because different countries use different currencies and payment platforms.
What If You Move to Another Country?
Unfortunately, you will have to delete your account.
If you have permanently moved country and want to use the local Vinted marketplace, the platform suggests that you set up a new account.
Vinted also says to ensure that any transactions are finalised first before closing your account.
What If Vinted Isn’t Available in My New Location?
If your new country of residence doesn’t have a Vinted marketplace, you will have to switch to another platform.
If you are moving from the UK to countries such as Canada or New Zealand, you will have to look for alternative online platforms to buy or sell second hand goods.
If you currently have a UK Pro account, you might be currently taking advantage of the fact that you are permitted to sell your own homemade crafts.
If this is the case and you are moving to New Zealand, you may benefit from our guide to where you can sell handmade craft items in NZ.
Can You Change Other Account Details?
Yes, you may be able to edit other account details within Vinted, such as your username, location, and whether your city name is publicly shown in your profile.
As these are not linked to payments, they are easy to change. Keep in mind, though that username changes have a 30 day cooldown period.
Why Can’t You Change Your Vinted Country?
This restriction mainly just exists because Vinted operates quite differently across its markets. Countries have different:
- Currencies
- Payment providers
- Shipping options
- Marketplace connections
So, even though changing your country might sound like a simple account-setting tweak, it can affect how payments and transactions work.
Information checked in August 2026. Vinted’s account and country settings may change, so check its current help information if you are moving country.
