IKEA has an extensive presence in Europe, but there are several countries that still don’t have any stores.
Countries that aren’t listed amongst IKEA’s official markets include:
- Albania
- Andorra
- Belarus
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Liechtenstein
- Malta
- Moldova
- Monaco
- Montenegro
- North Macedonia
- San Marino
IKEA also previously operated in Russia but no longer does.
Does Every EU Country Have IKEA?
Almost.
Malta is the only country out of the European Union’s 27 current member states that doesn’t have any IKEA stores.
Many non-EU European countries, on the other hand, do have IKEA. Norway, the UK, Switzerland, Serbia and Iceland all have the Swedish homeware brand.
Can You Order at IKEA If Your Country Doesn’t Have It?
Sometimes, yes.
Whilst you can’t just order from a neighbouring country’s site, IKEA does have an International Sales service that is designed to cater to customers in countries without stores.
Keep in mind, however, that this service is designed for bulk orders, in order to allow customers to furnish spaces such as hotels and offices.
