A bump on Vinted is a paid feature that gives your listing better visibility. When you ‘Bump’ a listing, Vinted gives it priority in the search results, as well as on users’ feeds.
You can set a Bump to run over either 3 or 7 days. It will end earlier than this, however, if your item sells.
How Does a Bumped Listing Work?
For a small fee, Vinted tries to show your listing to buyers who they think might be interested. You can then see how many people have viewed or item.
You still need to take clear photos and describe your item in a way that sells, as a Bump only gives your listing greater visibility. It doesn’t guarantee that it will actually sell.
How Much Does it Cost to Bump an Item?
The price of ‘Bumping’ your Vinted listing varies. It depends on things like:
- The price of your item
- Whether you select the 3 or the 7 day option
Vinted will give you the exact price before you pay for your item to be promoted.
Whilst it’s possible to lower the price of your listing whilst it’s under ‘Bump’ status, you can’t increase it. Also keep in mind that decreasing the price doesn’t give you a refund on the fee you paid to have your item Bumped.
Can You Move a Bump to Another Item?
No. You can only apply and pay for a Bump for a specific item, although there isn’t a limit to how many items you can Bump at once.
Is Bumping an Item Worth It?
It may be worth it for higher value items that you know are desirable but are not receiving many views.
If your item is a low price, it might not be worth it to bump an item, as doing so may eat too much into your sale proceeds.
Before you consider buying a Bump for an item, ensure that you have a strong listing with a good quality item, clear photographs, and accurate, comprehensive details.
Bumping a bad listing is unlikely to save it, and will probably just waste your money.
