Yes, IKEA is now in New Zealand! The country’s first IKEA store opened at Sylvia Park in Auckland on 4th December 2025.
New Zealanders can also shop through the NZ IKEA website and arrange home delivery or collection from locations around the country. This means that IKEA can come to you if you’re not in the Auckland area.
Where Is IKEA in New Zealand?
New Zealand’s very first full-size IKEA store is located at the following address:

The store forms part of the Sylvia Park shopping area and includes the familiar IKEA showroom, Market Hall and self-service furniture section.
It also has the following amenities:
- A Swedish Restaurant
- A Bistro
- A Swedish Food Market
- A Småland children’s play area
- A dedicated Click and Collect area
- Planning and design services
Customers travelling by car can use the store’s parking facilities, although Sylvia Park does have public transport access via train and bus.
Are There IKEA Stores Outside Auckland?
No, Auckland is the only place in New Zealand with an IKEA store. However, as well as online shopping and delivery, IKEA NZ launched with 29 collection points across the country.
The collection-point network includes locations in major centres like Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, as well as smaller regional centres.

Does IKEA Deliver Across New Zealand?
IKEA offers delivery across much of mainland New Zealand, so you do not need to live near its Auckland store to place an order. However, the available service and price depend on your postcode and the products you buy.
Small qualifying orders are delivered by NZ Post. Parcel delivery currently starts at $7 for IKEA Family members and $12 for non-members. The order must cost at least $15 after discounts and meet IKEA’s parcel size and weight limits.
Truck delivery is provided by Mainfreight 2Home. Delivery to your door starts at $49 for IKEA Family members in Auckland and $69 outside Auckland. For larger orders, delivery into a room of your choice starts at $69 in Auckland and $89 outside Auckland. Non-members pay an additional $10 for each of these services.

IKEA NZ only delivers within New Zealand and doesn’t offer international shipping from its New Zealand website. It also currently states that delivery is unavailable to New Zealand’s offshore islands. Customers in remote areas should enter their postcode at checkout to check which services are available.
